What ISP and they do? Internet Service Provider allows you to connect to the Internet with different levels of speed or data transfer rate, usually for a fixed cost. Data transfer rate is measured in kilobits per second (kbps), megabits per second (Mbps) or gigabits per second (Gbps).
Terms you need to know, said most of the data, when choosing an ISP:
- = A bit binary number used as the primary unit of information storage in digital computers.
- Byte = 8 bits series.
- Kb = kilobits or 1000 bits
- Kilobytes or KB = 1024 bytes
- Megabits or Mb = 1000000 bits
- Megabytes, or MB = 1,048,576 bytes is sometimes referred to one million bytes IEC (International Electro Technical Commission)
- Gigabit or Gb = 1,000,000,000 (billion) bits
- Gigabyte, or GB = 1073741824 bytes. IEC set GB 1,000,000,000 (billion) bytes
- Mbps or MBps = bits per second. A number that indicates how fast binary digits can be sent through the channel.
More kbps (kilobits per second) or (Mbps megabits per second) transfer to your ISP's download speed will be a page (Original), and other items such as email, photos, music, and videos from the web. So, if the ISP provider is trying to sell their plans (usually the phone company), knowing that the data transfer rate of 512 kbps to 700 kbps horizon of less than 1 MB of data transfer speed. If you want to download family photos, your computer will become slow.
