In such a world, not surprising that the house needs only internet, but wireless Internet, has grown so much. People want to be online all the time, and they want to be mobile. Xbox game engine, Blu-ray player, and cell phones all use a wireless connection to get content online, too.
Setting up the wireless internet connection is easier for most people think. Equipment needed is inexpensive, user friendly, and easy to find in stores and online. Before you can start setting up your wireless connection, you will need:
- A high-speed internet connection at home (cable, DSL, etc.)
- Wireless access point router (sometimes called a wireless router only)
- At least one PC or laptop with a wireless network interface card
You can get important pieces of this equipment from almost any electronics store, such as large department stores, such as Lev Mart or language. There are various types and brands available, but almost all cross-compatible with many people in the same equipment.
The main tools here is a wireless router. This translated traffic on your network signal can be transmitted wirelessly via radio waves. Also has a transmitter and receiver that communicates with wireless devices. In addition to wireless performance, wireless routers also handle IP routing, which is what allows multiple computers to see each other and share high-speed Internet connection.
Making your wireless network, you need to attach the power of the wireless router. Once the router is on (the lights will be in), you must connect the network cable from the back of the Cable / DSL Modem port on the wireless router labeled Wan. This stands for Wide Area Network, and will allow you to get a wireless internet router.
Some wireless routers will require some additional steps, so you should refer to the installation guide, which will guide you through your wireless network name. At this stage, you should see your wireless network to find on a PC or laptop equipped with wireless network interface card. Once your network is to build and work, consider researching wireless security, protect your wireless network from unwanted use.
